an American chef and restaurateur who is the co-owner and executive chef of Blue Hill in New York City and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, New York. Barber is known for his focus on using local, sustainable ingredients and has written several books on the subject. In 2009, Barber was named "Best Chef: New York City" by the James Beard Foundation. He is also known for his TED Talk, "How I Fell in Love With a Fish" in which he highlighted the importance of understanding the origins of food and the impact of our food choices on the planet.
